Desmond’s Army joined State Representatives Diana Urban and Brenda Kupchick at the Legislative Office Building yesterday to introduce upcoming legislation for the 2018 session.
It is always such an honor to stand with a group of incredible people doing amazing work for animals .
The 2018 session of proposed bills include
Prohibiting the use of AR in case of animal cruelty .
Action for rescuing animals in locked hot/cold cars
Requires adequate shelter for dogs in extreme weather ( an act for Baby Justice)
Concept bills introduced on the following topics ;
Increase penalty for intentionally killing or hurting a police dog
Establish penalty for misrepresentation of a guide dog
Trapping Bill . This will allow municipalities to ban trapping .
Grant veterinarians decision making authority in furthering the best interests of the animal when it comes to dosage protocol for vaccines .
In addition , the no brainer bill of the year being proposed is to specify that beastiality is considered a Felony Crime .
